Carved Boxes
Here is a selection of some boxes I have built. I enjoy building things that have a purpose or are funtional. Lately, I have been into carving high quality lettering on these boxes in places with cetain slogans or whatever. I have also recently been interested in making boxes on the wood lathe (turned boxes). One such box is pictured below. Items of this nature can be ordered. This box was carved and built from bass wood and is roughly 4" tall x 5" wide x 5" deep.
Here is a box that I built and carved from a log of black walnut. It took a lot of work to get this piece out of that log. But after pleanty of resawing, handplaning, hand-cutting dovetail joints and a little bit of carving it was done. This box is 4" tall x 8" wide x 8" deep. Here is a box that I turned out on the wood lathe. This box was turned from a black walnut log as you can see the grain runs through the box. This piece is 7" tall by 4" wide x 4" deep. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this piece.
